How to Brew Genmaicha with Matcha

This blend is green tea leaf with roasted rice and matcha, so it brews at the green tea and matcha settings below: water at 160-180°F / 70-80°C, steeped 1 to 2 minutes. Every brew starts with boiled water. Only black and pu-erh meet the leaf at a full boil. Everything else cools to its own range first.

1. Boil water. Bring your water to a boil, then let it cool to the temperature listed for your tea in the table above.
2. Add tea. Add 1-2 teaspoons (3-5 grams) of tea leaf to your teapot, then pour in 6-8oz (200ml) of the water you heated.
3. Steep. Let the leaves steep for the time in the table above.
4. Serve. Pour the tea into your cup, using a strainer if necessary. Enjoy your tea, and remember your high quality tea is good for up to 3 infusions.
